Front Yard Family Photography Orlando, Florida
When I started this shoot, I am ashamed to say I had accidentally double booked for the same day – which worked out in everyone’s favor because we rescheduled and ended up shooting on the first cold snap of the season. The morning was absolutely perfect for a family shoot. When I arrived we decided to just shoot in their perfect front yard which was a total dream! They literally have a white picket all the way around the yard. A little word of advice when booking your family photography shoot, especially when you have a toddler, patience is KEY! This family did an amazing job of just being patient with their little 2 year old rather then getting upset when she didn’t want to sit still – and the result was some really great and natural images! Candids help to show off their personality, and getting upset with them only makes them more upset. So take my advice, and just take a seat in you Front Yard and wait for the Family Photography magic to happen! We all had a great time together playing on the swings, but the real magic started to happen when Dad pulled out his guitar. Everyone lit up and it was total magic – the sun was out and even the dog got excited. I think this might be one of my new tricks for when I’m photographing toddlers, because asking a toddler to sit still is like asking politicians for world peace.
I love all the funny faces we got out of everyone while we played in the front yard. Everyone was incredibly relaxed which made me just want to continue shooting. A perfect morning with a happy family is why I love this job so much — not to mention we got some really great images out of our time together. I can’t wait to see how this little family grows!
